Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise : a resort rallying to the cause PDF  | Print |  E-mail

After hosting the 8th National Winter Transplant and Dialysis Games in January 2009, the Resort Sainte-Foy welcomes the 7th Winter World Transplant Games.

Precious, protected and harmonious... at the heart of one of the most famous ski destinations, Sainte Foy stands out as a natural and quaint setting. Far from the frenzy of the larger resorts, it cultivates easy discretion. Its rich and traditional architectural heritage includes its hamlet (classed as an historic monument), houses of column construction, chapels and chalets in stone, wood and flagstone, a genuine taste of mountain life. The ski area (1,520m - 2,620m) takes skiers through forests of larch or high-up to 15 slopes of varying difficulty. The ski lifts take more advanced skiers to off-slope skiing areas and to the station's three "free-ride" areas.

Since 2008, the local mayor council has been working with Trans-Forme to develop numerous organ donations awareness-raising campaigns dedicated to the public and schools in particular.
